What
Yes, we said development, not only deployment. Plone (http://plone.com) is an attempt to standardize and automate development and deployment practices for small teams of developers working with Plone 4. The base of the guide is a ZopeSkel template that creates a Plone add-on that hold Python code, HTML/CSS, Sphinx documentation for your project and deployment tools. The guide takes design decisions so you don't have to. Deployment is fully automated (with Fabric), all you need to do is run a simple command in your buildout environment.
Throughout the guide we strive to keep costs low but still focus on best-practice and productivity. Outsourcing hosting, code repositories, issue trackers, email and archiving will keep you working on projects that bring you money and not loose valuable time. Running monthly costs for a small developer team with one simple commercial project can be as low as $40 (with each additional project costing another $11).
You will hear about Plone 4, Fabric, Hudson, Munin, iptables, Nginx, CentOS, Rackspace Cloud Servers & Emails, Unfuddle, JungleDisk, KeePass and more.
